Antalya, Turkey

I took an extended weekend trip to Antalya, Turkey with two friends Anna and Bronwyn. We were in need of sun and the beach, and we were not disappointed.

Konyaalti Beach. The water was warm (26 deg C) and very salty making it easy to float

Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast

In late May Richard and I joined my parents for a 5 day trip in Sorrento. We packed in so much culture, history, good food and beautiful landscape that it felt like we were there much longer!

We flew into Rome to meet with my parents, and got this classic shot of Trevi Fountain, not far from our hotel

Waiting to enter the Blue Grotto (small cave entrance in the middle of the photo)

When the sun shines at the right angle, the water inside of the Blue Grotto cave
becomes electric blue because of the white limestone beneath the cave reflecting light back up.
This photo does not do it justice!

Pompeii-- fascinating!

Istrian Peninsula, Croatia

In early May I took a short trip to join my friends Mack and Zack in northern Croatia during their month-long holiday through the Czech Republic, Hungary and Croatia.
